Crane Support Accessories Why CamMate? Camera Cranes and Jib Arms
Eagle Eye Productions uses CamMate Camera Cranes. There is a reason that we have chosen this and all of the equipment that we use. We feel that it is the best in the industry. So Why CamMate Over A Jimmy Jib?
Eagle Eye Productions focuses on camera support for your productions, and the CamMate camera cranes give the ability of a smooth floating image that can move above, around, below, or through an object or in a scene with flawless precision, and most importantly, without any impact on floors or surfaces. The length and height of the cranes let the camera reach areas that would be impossible to get to by any other means. Our cranes have gone over water, speeding automobiles, molten iron, multi-million dollar machinery, and even brain surgery. We bring the viewer into the image. Now with the World's FIRST True High Definition Crane The CamMate HD Eagle Eye Productions has been chosen to be the first in the country to receive the latest in technology from CamMate. The CamMate HD is the first true High Definition Head in the industry. Using Fiber Optic technology in combination with the slip ring technology already in use in CamMate camera cranes all over the world. The CamMate HD allows the high bandwidth to travel via Fiber through the new slip ring assembly give the head complete freedom of movement without binding cables as any other crane or jib arm does. Once again, the innovators at CamMate have raised the bar in broadcast excellence. The CamMate HD Head will work with either of our cranes. The Cranes 43' CamMate 2000, 25' Travel series, and a Ford F250 long-bed pickup.
CamMate 2000 Series
The LARGEST single man operated crane in the business. The world famous CamMate Camera Crane is made of six foot sections and has a maximum height of 43 feet. A strong aircraft aluminum design and materials make the CamMate an extremely impressive piece of equipment in the studio and on location. The CamMate Camera Cranes support all professional video cameras and many small film cameras (weight is the main concern for film cameras, more details below). The 2000 series can be built in various lengths. In its shortest configuration, the crane has a reach of six feet with a maximum height of twelve feet. Six foot sections can be added to reach desired height up to 43 feet. Shots can range from ground level, all the way up to whatever height the crane is built. The camera is mounted on the "L" shaped head (described below), and controlled at the base by joystick and pistol grip.
CamMate Travel Series
The CamMate Travel Series is a smaller version of the 2000 series crane. It is made up of four foot sections, with a minimum height of 8 feet and has a maximum height of 25 feet. As the name suggests, this CamMate is made to travel, packed completely in hard pelican cases and flight ready as checked luggage. We suggest that shipping be done as cargo to avoid extra luggage charges that can be pricey since 9/11.
How small can the crane be? You want the movement of a crane or jib arm, but are working in a small area. No problem while a crane does take more room to operate then a camera on sticks, it doesn't take much more. We have operated in small studios, confined spaces, houses, small churches and even hospital operating rooms. Using the Tripod and only one section, the crane has a maximum height of 8 feet (with head mounted on top). Obviously, the more room that there is to swing the arm, the more range of motion there will be. Just make the shot move!
The Eagle Eye EZ-FX Jib
For those jobs that do not require the full range of motion of the CamMate, Eagle Eye Productions has added the EZ-FX Jib. A fully manual jib arm that uses a ball mount tripod head. A custom zoom/focus control gives the operator greater flexibility.
